Multi-Family Plumbing Rough-In — St. Louis Metro
Underground Utilities & Multi-Story Stack Rough-In, Self-Performed Excavation Through Top-Out
Project Overview
| Location | St. Louis Metro |
|---|---|
| Building type | Multi-Unit Residential |
| Scope | Multi-Unit Residential — New Construction |
Legacy Plumbing self-performed the underground utilities and multi-story stack rough-in on a mid-size multifamily development in the St. Louis metro. Union crews owned the scope from excavation through top-out.
Site work came first: site sanitary, storm and domestic water lines were installed, along with the water service, backflow protection and metering for the building. With the underground complete, union crews moved into the structure.
Multi-story sanitary and vent stacks were set to serve the stacked unit layout. Once the stacks were in place, crews moved through the building unit by unit with the plumbing rough-in, coordinating repeat-unit sequencing with the general contractor so framing, plumbing and the follow-on rough trades could work through the floors in order.
Repeat-unit work rewards consistency: the same rough-in layout installed the same way on every unit. Legacy Plumbing self-performed this scope from excavation through top-out, the same approach used on multifamily and new construction work across the St. Louis metro.
This project is an example of our new construction plumbing work, with scope that also falls under underground & site utilities.
