## What a Sewer Camera Inspection Shows

A sewer camera inspection, also called a sewer scope inspection, runs an HD camera through a building drain or sewer lateral and records the inside of the pipe. A sonde in the camera head lets us mark the exact position and depth of any defect at the surface. You receive the recorded footage and a written condition report listing roots, bellies, offsets, cracks and scale by footage marker, with repair options and budget ranges you can forward to ownership.

Sewer line inspection is used for acquisition due diligence, lease turnover, pre-renovation planning and diagnosing drains that keep backing up. It is ordered by property managers, buyers and lenders, restaurants, healthcare and dental offices, multifamily owners, schools and industrial facilities.

## Use findings before committing to repair or renovation

Inspection is useful during acquisition due diligence, lease turnover and fixture-layout planning, as well as when cleaning has not resolved repeated backups. The camera records roots, bellies, offsets, cracks and scale by footage marker. A sonde locates position and depth at the surface. Those findings connect a symptom inside the building to a specific section of drain rather than assuming the whole line needs replacement.

## Video, findings and the next plumbing scope

You receive recorded footage and a written condition report with defects and repair options. If grease or scale prevents a useful view, cleaning may come first, followed by another camera run. Appropriate hydro jetting is coordinated through our independent referral contractor. Cleaning can expose the pipe's condition; it does not straighten a belly or restore a cracked section. Use the report to separate cleaning, targeted repair and renovation decisions.

### Can you inspect sewer lines under a slab?

Yes. We access underslab lines through cleanouts or a pulled fixture and locate defects under the slab with a sonde, then mark the slab or grade so any excavation is targeted. That keeps saw-cutting and digging to the section of pipe that actually needs repair.

### Do you clean the line before the camera inspection?

When a line is too fouled to see, we clean it first and then run the camera, so you get an accurate picture of the pipe rather than the buildup. Heavy grease or scale can be cleared with hydro jetting, coordinated through Kuesel Excavating, an independent site contractor we refer to.
