## Trap or interceptor — and signs it needs attention

An interior trap and an exterior interceptor both separate grease from wastewater, but their locations and access differ. Our service covers under-sink and floor-mounted traps as well as in-ground interceptors. Slow kitchen drains, odors, backups or grease in downstream lines call for inspection. ### How often should a grease trap be cleaned?

### What is the difference between grease trap pumping and grease trap cleaning?

Grease trap pumping removes the accumulated grease, water and solids from the tank. A full cleaning adds scraping the walls and baffles and inspecting the tees and covers, so the trap works as designed until the next visit. Every visit we make includes both.

### What does grease trap maintenance include?
